Mouna's Supper Club is back

If you are looking to experience Syrian cuisine, look no further.

​Mouna's Kitchen is throwing its first supper club post pandemic and we can't wait to see you. We've been longing to do this for a very long time and the combination of the festive menu and the great venue at Mercato Metropolitano near Elephant and Castle in London will, without a doubt, make this dinner memorable.

The supper club will take place on the 8th of December from 7.30 pm in Mercato Metropolitano's tea room.

In the Syrian tradition dishes will be served in sharing platters for the whole table. Sharing food with your neighbours is a great way to break boundaries and engage discussions.

Out of security and respect for the others guests, pease only attend if you are vaccinated and don't show any sign of illness.

Space is limited so don't forget to book early to make sure you can attend.

Dips

Muhammara

Iconic Aleppian dip made of red peppers, walnuts and pomegranate molasses.

Shawandar

Vibrant beetroot dip with tahini, garlic and fresh lemon juice.

Salads

Moghrabieh and roasted vegetables salad

A colourful medley of roasted vegetables on a bed of giant couscous and salad greens, topped with white cheese and a lemon vinaigrette.

Fattoush

A fresh crunchy salad with lettuce, radishes, tomatoes and cucumbers topped with toasted pita bread and with a lemon, pomegranate molasses and sumac dressing.

Cheese and spinach borek

Soft flaky dough filled with layers of spinach, cheese and herbs.

Kibbeh mabroumeh

One of Aleppo’s famous kibbeh dishes. Beef and bulgur rolls filled with minced beef and pistachios. Comes with yogurt.

Kibbeh ya’teen

Layers of bulgur and pumpkin filled with a tangy spinach, onion and pomegranate mix.

Aubergine fatteh

Delicious layers of toasted pitta bread, tahini yogurt sauce and aubergines cooked in tangy tomato sauce.

Chicken freekeh

Chicken cooked in Aleppo spices on a bed of smoky green cracked bulgur, topped with toasted nuts and pomegranate seeds.

Desserts

Chestnut cake

Wonderfully sweet chestnut cream layered between a tasty chocolate cake and with the added crunch of candied chestnuts. Perfect for celebrations! (vegetarian, contains gluten, dairy, eggs)

Basbousa truffles

Little balls of delight. Mini basbousa flavoured truffles perfect for sharing or a self indulgent treat. (vegetarian, contains gluten, dairy, nuts)

The menu includes a welcome cocktail. Middle eastern wines and other drink options will be available separately.
