A Story of Food, Heritage, and New Beginnings

I'm honored to share that my journey from Aleppo to London will be featured in The Unknown Chefs, a new documentary series premiering on Apple TV and Prime Video on November 14th.

This series tells the stories of four refugees – from Syria, Namibia, Nepal, and Uzbekistan – who had found a home at London's Mercato Metropolitano. Through our food, we share not just recipes, but our heritage, our families, and our identities as we build new lives in Britain.

The first episode follows my story and the food stall at Mercato Metropolitano that became my first kitchen in London. It's a place where I could share the scents, flavors, and memories of Syria – keeping my culture alive through every dish I prepared. This documentary is about resilience, the immigrant experience, and how food has the power to connect us all, no matter where we come from.

Before the official release, I invite you to an exclusive preview screening and a Q&a with the producers and myself:

Date: Wednesday, 12th November
Time: 6pm
Location: Mercato Metropolitano, Elephant & Castle, London

Come celebrate this milestone with me where it all began. Spaces are limited.

Can't make the screening? The Unknown Chefs will be available to stream from November 14th on:
